The Road Trip Tray is designed to meet specific requirements needed to address simplicity of use in any automobile, truck, SUV or RV.
The Basic Ergonomics
The overall size was determined to maximize the usable space of the tray while avoiding the tray becoming awkward to use and store. The tray is slightly curved to allow it to fit snug against the waist of the user.

The Lap Belt Hook
In the center of the waist curve is the key component of the design: the lap belt hook. The lap belt portion of the standard seat belt harness slides over the hook which in turn holds the tray snug to the waist and prevents any forward movement during sudden stops and extreme turns.
The Cup Holder
The cup holder is-located-in the forward center of the tray to ensure that the tray stays balanced on your lap. It is designed to hold cups up to 16 oz.
The Bottom Cleats
Cleats in a tire tread pattern are incorporated in the bottom of the tray to restrict side to side movement.
Nesting Trays
The trays nest into each other to reduce the amount of space required for them when they are stored in the vehicle
